Felda Global Ventures Holdings Berhad (FGV) is forging ahead with its integrity agenda with the launch of the FGV Integrity Plan (FGV-IP), aimed at developing an ethical work culture imbued with a strong sense of right and wrong.

Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Razali Ibrahim today launched the FGV-IP at a ceremony that was also attended by FGV Chairman, Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad and FGV President and Chief Executive Officer, Mohd Emir Mavani Abdullah.

Aimed at providing FGV’s workforce with a reference point, the FGV-IP pins down specific strategies to eliminate and avoid opportunities for abuse of power, corruption and malpractice as well as improving personal integrity among FGV Group employees.

Datuk Razali Ibrahim said: “Integrity began to be looked at closely, specifically and in an integrated manner with the launch of the National Integrity Plan in 2004. Ultimately, we want Malaysians who are able to brave the challenging times ahead with fortitude and strength of character, to be able to come out on top when faced with complex problems and great obstacles.”

“The implementation of the FGV-IP is another important milestone in the Government’s efforts to create a work-force with high moral values in line with Vision 2020. Our vision goes beyond mere economic growth which is why we applaud companies such as FGV who are serious in their effort to support our vision to grow as a nation of people with a strong sense of integrity.”

FGV is serious in ensuring and upholding integrity in all aspects of its business and activities. Through our Integrity Plan initiative, we trust the values of honesty, sincerity, perseverance, discipline and dedication will be strengthened within the Felda Global Group resulting in an increase in efficiency and productivity.

FGV Chairman, Tan Sri Isa in his speech said, “FGV is serious in ensuring and upholding integrity in all aspects of its business and activities. Through our Integrity Plan initiative, we trust the values of honesty, sincerity, perseverance, discipline and dedication will be strengthened within the Felda Global Group resulting in an increase in efficiency and productivity.”

FGV has set up the Governance and Risk Management Department (GRMD) to apply the highest ethical standards to every aspect of its business dealings. At the core of GRMD is the credence that FGV has a strong interest, as well as a responsibility, to act with integrity at all times.

According to FGV President and Chief Executive Officer, Mohd Emir Mavani Abdullah, “The GRMD department will allow us to align and incorporate high ethical standards with business strategy and integrate them across all operational activities. We believe that together, we shall attain what we aim for – a culture that is based upon ethical conduct and integrity – and that FGV will be known as a leader in compliance, ethics, and professional conduct.”
