Felda Global Ventures Holdings Berhad (FGV) through its subsidiary, Felda Transport Services Sdn Bhd (FTSSB) expands its operations by opening a new office in Kuching, Sarawak.

Beginning operations on 3 May, the new office located at Sejingat Industrial Park will manage logistical services in four key areas of palm oil transport, cargo operations, forwarding and Multimodal Transport Operator (MTO) through the MAS Kargo Complex and  Kuching Port.

The launch of the office was officiated by YB Datuk Dr. Wan Junaidy Tuanku Jaafar, Minister of Natural Resource and Environment and FGV Chairman, Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad at Majlis Ramah Mesra at Felda Global Ventures Plantation Malaysia (FGVPM) Palm Oil Mill, Sampadi, Lundu.

Tan Sri Isa in his speech said, “The establishment of the FTSSB office in Kuching will offer more employment opportunities to the local community in the Sarawak logistics industry.”

“FTSSB will be able to offer existing and potential business partners standard and specialised logistic services. This will generate  economic growth in the sector and support socio-economic development of the surrounding area,” he added.

Meanwhile, FGV Group President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Zakaria Arshad said, “With the establishment of this new office, FTSSB will be able to leverage on the potential of the growing Sarawak logistics industry”.
