FGV Group has signed 12 Collective Agreements with 12 workers unions, of which 11 are internal unions
KUALA LUMPUR, 20 January 2022 – FGV Group has signed 12 Collective Agreements (CA) with its workers’ unions for the period 2022-2024.
11 of the unions were internal; FGV Refineries Sdn Bhd Employees Union (Peninsula), FGV Refineries Sdn Bhd (Sabah) Employees Union, Delima Oil Products Sdn Bhd Employees Union, FGV Kernel Products Sdn Bhd Employees Union (Peninsula), FGV Kernel Products Sdn Bhd (Sabah) Employees Union, FGV Rubber Industries Sdn Bhd Employees Union, FGV Transport Services Sdn Bhd Employees Union (Peninsula), FGV Transport Services Sdn Bhd (Sabah) Employees Union, FGV Bulkers Sdn Bhd Employees Union (Peninsula), FGV Bulkers Sdn Bhd Employees Union (Sabah) and FGV Palm Industries Sdn Bhd Employees Union (Peninsula).
FGV Group also signed the CA with the National Union of Petroleum and Chemical Industry Workers (NUPCIW).

Mohd Nazrul Izam Mansor, FGV’s Group Chief Executive Officer said that the successful negotiations of all 12 CAs, amidst COVID-19 challenges, demonstrate strong commitments and commendable industrial relations between all parties.
“FGV is blessed with over 40,000 employees including workers who are covered under the unions, whom we recognise as the backbone of the company. The agreements forge a better understanding between the employers and the employees, thus encouraging better cooperation and support to achieve FGV’s aspiration to become a world-class agribusiness and food company,” said Mohd Nazrul.
The signing between the respective subsidiaries’ Chief Executive Officers and the Head of Unions took place at the Royale Chulan Hotel here in the presence of Mohd Nazrul and Khalid Jali, Director-General of Industrial Relations Department, Human Resources Ministry.

Mohd Nazrul said in the midst of various challenges affecting the palm and its related industries over the past few years, unions and Management should work together to protect the Group and support each other to ensure continued success.
“We should keep a positive attitude and do our best to carry out our duties every day. We should all be aware of our roles in the company and how to best contribute to the business. In doing so, unions can play a big role in increasing the awareness on our commitment towards Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), the guiding principles towards sustaining the company responsibly,” he added.

Kumpulan FGV juga menandatangani CA dengan Kesatuan Kebangsaan Pekerja-Pekerja Perusahaan Petroleum dan Kimia (NUPCIW).

Mohd Nazrul Izam Mansor, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Kumpulan FGV berkata bahawa kejayaan rundingan dengan semua 12 CA walaupun ketika cabaran COVID-19 menunjukkan komitmen yang kukuh dan hubungan perusahaan yang baik antara semua pihak.
“FGV mempunyai lebih 40,000 pekerja yang juga merupakan tulang belakang syarikat termasuklah mereka yang di bawah kesatuan pekerja. Perjanjian ini membentuk persefahaman yang lebih kukuh antara majikan dan pekerja, sekali gus menggalakkan kerjasama dan sokongan yang lebih baik untuk mencapai aspirasi FGV menjadi syarikat perniagaan agri dan makanan bertaraf dunia,” kata Mohd Nazrul.
Majlis menandatangani CA antara Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif dan Ketua Kesatuan anak syarikat masing-masing telah berlangsung di Hotel Royale Chulan di sini, dihadiri oleh Mohd Nazrul dan Khalid Jali, Ketua Pengarah Jabatan Perhubungan Perusahaan, Kementerian Sumber Manusia.

Ujar Mohd Nazrul, di tengah-tengah pelbagai cabaran yang menjejaskan industri sawit dan industri berkaitan sejak beberapa tahun lalu, kesatuan pekerja dan pihak pengurusan harus bekerjasama untuk melindungi Kumpulan serta menyokong satu sama lain untuk memastikan kejayaan berterusan.
“Kita harus mengekalkan sikap positif dan melakukan yang terbaik dalam menjalankan tugas setiap hari. Kita semua harus sedar tentang peranan kita dalam syarikat dan cara terbaik untuk menyumbang kepada perniagaan. Dalam pada itu, kesatuan pekerja boleh memainkan peranan besar dalam meningkatkan kesedaran mengenai komitmen Kumpulan terhadap Alam Sekitar, Sosial dan Tadbir Urus (ESG), yang menjadi prinsip untuk kemampanan syarikat secara bertanggungjawab,” tambahnya.
