Group President and Chief Executive Officer of Felda Global Ventures Holdings Berhad (FGV), Dato’ Mohd Emir Mavani Abdullah as well as Senior Management of FGV today visited FGV employees and their families affected in the floods in Kampung Badok, Pahang. Contributions totalling RM24,900 were extended to assist the 24 flood victims.

To date, FGV has distributed a total of RM810,000 in donations to its employees and families in the states affected by the floods.

Group President and Chief Executive Officer of FGV, Dato’ Mohd Emir Mavani Abdullah said, “It is estimated that over 6,200 FGV employees and surrounding residents have been affected by this disaster. FGV has mobilised its support personnel and assets to provide on-site assistance to all affected communities and to ease their burden.”

The distribution of the donations has been conducted gradually, especially in areas badly hit by the floods. In the first phase, assistance was provided in the form of food supplies and daily necessities. In the second phase, FGV distributed cash assistance to the victims

Overall, just 6.34% of FGV’s total planted area has been affected by the floods, comprising 4% in Pahang, 2 % in Kelantan, 0.22% Terengganu and 0.12 % in Negeri Sembilan.
