KUALA LUMPUR, 5 March 2020: FGV Holdings Berhad (FGV) is pleased to announce that all its 68 mills and 173 estates covering 373,517 ha of land nationwide are now 100% certified under the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) certification Malaysian Standard MS 2530:2013.

FGV’s subsidiary, Asian Plantation (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd, was the last to undergo this exercise and received its certification on 27 February 2020.

FGV Group Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Haris Fadzilah Hassan said the MSPO certification was a reinforcement of FGV’s commitment towards sustainability and support for the Government’s efforts through Malaysia Palm Oil Certification Council (MPOCC) to elevate Malaysian palm oil in the eyes of the world.

“It was an arduous but fruitful journey for us given the enormity of our operations all over Malaysia. We are thankful to MPOCC for their support and guidance throughout the certification process,” said Haris Fadzilah.

He added “As one of the world’s largest producers of crude palm oil (CPO), this certification is an attestation of FGV’s values as a sustainable and responsible business player and in line with our sustainability goals. We will continue to ensure the highest standard in our supply chain”.

FGV was part of the Technical Working Committee of MSPO Standard 2013 and also the Technical Working Committee of Accreditation of MSPO Standard 2013.

As a listed company, FGV is unique in the sense that its business supports the livelihood of the smallholders. One of the main objectives is to bring on board the smallholders in establishing sustainable Malaysia palm oil. Recognising this, FGV together with Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) had identified 8,372 smallholders to be registered for MSPO certification under MPOB scheme.

“It is important for us to take along the smallholders in our journey to become a sustainable agri-business player” said Haris Fadzilah. As such, being one of the major palm oil industry players, FGV will continue to support positive development in the industry towards enhancing the image of palm oil industry globally.

KUALA LUMPUR, 5 Mac 2020: FGV Holdings Berhad (FGV) mengumumkan kesemua 68 kilang dan 173 ladang yang meliputi 373,517 hektar di seluruh negara kini 100 peratus diperakui pensijilan Minyak Sawit Mampan Malaysia (MSPO) di bawah piawaian Malaysian Standard MS 2530: 2013.

Anak syarikat FGV, Asian Plantation (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd menjadi ladang yang terakhir menjalani proses audit dan menerima pensijilan pada 27 Februari 2020.

Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Kumpulan FGV, Dato’ Haris Fadzilah Hassan berkata pensijilan MSPO menunjukkan pengukuhan komitmen FGV terhadap kelestarian dan sokongan kepada usaha Kerajaan melalui Majlis Pensijilan Minyak Sawit Malaysia (MPOCC) untuk memartabatkan minyak sawit Malaysia di mata dunia.

“Ianya merupakan perjalanan yang sukar tetapi amat memuaskan bagi kami berdasarkan keluasan operasi kami di seluruh Malaysia. Kami berterima kasih kepada MPOCC atas sokongan dan bimbingan mereka sepanjang proses pensijilan, “kata Haris Fadzilah.

Tambah beliau, “Sebagai salah sebuah syarikat pengeluar minyak sawit mentah terbesar di dunia, pensijilan ini membuktikan FGV sebagai syarikat yang mampan dan bertanggungjawab sejajar dengan matlamat kelestarian kami. Kami akan terus memastikan standard tertinggi dalam rantaian bekalan kami”.

FGV merupakan sebahagian daripada Jawatankuasa Kerja Teknikal Standard MSPO 2013 dan juga Jawatankuasa Kerja Teknikal Akreditasi Standard MSPO 2013.

Sebagai syarikat yang tersenarai, FGV adalah unik kerana perniagaannya menyokong kehidupan pekebun kecil. Salah satu objektif utama adalah untuk memastikan pekebun kecil turut serta dalam mewujudkan minyak sawit Malaysia yang mampan. Menyedari hal ini, FGV bersama Lembaga Minyak Sawit Malaysia (MPOB) telah mengenal pasti 8,372 pekebun kecil yang akan didaftarkan untuk pensijilan MSPO di bawah skim MPOB.

“Amat penting bagi kami untuk melibatkan pekebun kecil di dalam perjalanan kami menjadi pemain agri-perniagaan yang lestari,” kata Haris Fadzilah. Oleh itu, sebagai salah satu pemain industri minyak sawit utama, FGV akan terus menyokong pembangunan positif industri ke arah meningkatkan imej industri minyak sawit di peringkat antarabangsa.
