In line with knowledge sharing and creating new opportunities for partnerships between FELDA, Felda Global Ventures Holdings Berhad (FGV) and the World Bank Group, a working visit to FELDA Gunung Besout, Perak was organised as part of the World Bank’s 2-day working visit to Malaysia recently.

The delegation from the World Bank, an organisation with a mission to end extreme poverty as well as promote shared prosperity worldwide was led by Dr Sundaran Annamalai, one of the eight Executive Directors in the delegation. They were also accompanied by several senior officials from the World Bank and the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia.

This visit has been a great platform for both parties. We were able to share FGV’s commitment to meeting the increasing global demand for sustainable palm oil while demonstrating our on-ground operations. It was also an excellent opportunity to discuss working with the World Bank in its mission to end poverty and fostering income growth of the poor all over the world.
