FGV Holdings Welcomes Government’s Plan to Assist FELDA Settlers

FGV Holdings Berhad welcomes the government’s plans to revive FELDA and its new commitment to alleviate the financial situation of FELDA settlers.

The plans to diversify the income streams of settlers is a positive move and FGV would be happy to participate in strategic discussions to seek viable solutions and explore potential synergies that will benefit all stakeholders.

FGV also agrees that there is an urgent need to discuss the terms of the Land Lease Agreement (LLA) with FELDA as this matter has been raised repeatedly over the last three years, causing much uncertainty and concern for our shareholders.

FGV Holdings Shows Improved Plantation Productivity for the First Quarter of 2019

KUALA LUMPUR, 8 APRIL 2019 – FGV Holdings Berhad is pleased to announce its crop production figures for 1Q2019. For the period in review, the Group’s key operational performance indicators that are being tracked on a daily basis, showed improvement, beating internal targets that were benchmarked against the industry, while taking into account site yield potential and the time required to rehabilitate its estates.

The group produced a total of 1.06 million MT of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) from its 23 regions, compared to 990,845 MT produced in the same period in 1Q2018, an increase of 6.6%.

The Group’s 68 mills processed a total of 3.67 million MT of FFB up 8.3%, compared to 3.39 million MT processed in 2018. Oil extraction rate (OER) for the three months in review improved to 20.76% from 19.75%, an improvement of 5.1% from the previous corresponding period.

FGV produced a total of 761,832 MT of crude palm oil in 1Q2019, compared to 669,534 MT for the same period in 2018.

“I am pleased to report that FGV’s Plantation Sector has exceeded internal targets and is on track to achieve its 2019 KPIs,” Dato’ Haris Fadzilah Hassan, FGV’s Group Chief Executive Officer said.

The better operational results can be attributed to several changes that have been made to improve performance, including plantation management and crop evacuation methods.

“As we move into the next phase of implementing our Transformation Plan, we expect FGV’s operational performance to regularize further,” Haris Fadzilah said. He added that all the Group’s replanting efforts were on track and 17,250 ha of old estates would be replanted in this financial year.

FGV Mencatatkan Peningkatan Prestasi Operasi bagi Suku Pertama 2019

KUALA LUMPUR, 8 APRIL 2019 – FGV Holdings Berhad (FGV) hari ini mengumumkan bahawa pengeluaran hasil ladangnya telah mencatatkan pertumbuhan yang positif bagi suku pertama 2019 (1Q2019).

Pada tempoh disemak, indikator prestasi utama operasi Kumpulan yang dipantau setiap hari telah menunjukkan penambahbaikan, mengatasi sasaran dalaman yang telah disandarkan kepada industri, dengan mengambil kira potensi hasil ladang dan jangka masa yang diperlukan untuk pemulihan ladang-ladang.

Kumpulan mencatatkan peningkatan pengeluaran buah tandan segar (BTS) sebanyak 6.6% kepada 1.06 juta tan metrik (MT) daripada 23 wilayah, berbanding sebanyak 990,845 MT yang dihasilkan bagi tempoh sama pada 1Q2018.

Kumpulan memproses sejumlah 3.67 juta MT BTS menerusi 68 buah kilangnya, peningkatan sebanyak 8.3% berbanding 3.39 juta MT yang diproses pada 2018.

Manakala kadar perahan minyak (OER) untuk tempoh tiga bulan disemak meningkat 20.76% daripada 19.75%, meningkat 5.1% daripada tempoh sama tahun sebelumnya.

FGV menghasilkan sejumlah 761,832 MT minyak sawit mentah (MSM) pada 1Q2019, berbanding 669,534 MT untuk tempoh sama pada 2018.

“Saya gembira untuk mengumumkan bahawa prestasi Sektor Perladangan FGV telah melepasi sasaran dalaman dan berada di kedudukan terbaik untuk mencapai indeks prestasi utama (KPI) 2019,” kata Dato’ Haris Fadzilah Hassan, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Kumpulan FGV.

Keputusan operasi yang lebih baik ini disumbangkan oleh beberapa perubahan yang telah dibuat untuk menambah baik prestasi termasuklah pengurusan perladangan dan kaedah pemindahan hasil.

“Kumpulan sedang bergerak ke fasa seterusnya dalam pelaksanaan Pelan Transformasi, kami jangka prestasi operasi akan terus diperkemaskan,” kata Haris Fadzilah. Tambah beliau, usaha tanam semula Kumpulan berada di landasan betul dan sebanyak 17,250 hektar ladang dengan profil umur tua akan ditanam semula pada tahun kewangan kali ini.

FGV operational performance improves

KUALA LUMPUR, 28 FEBRUARY 2019–  FGV Holdings Berhad recorded a loss before zakat and tax (LBZT) of RM139 million for its fourth quarter ended December 2018 as a result of impairments and provisions amounting to RM240 million. Without impairments and provisions, FGV recorded a profit before zakat and tax (PBZT) of RM101 million for the period, compared to the previous corresponding quarter’s RM253 million. Revenue for the period declined in tandem with crude palm oil (CPO) prices to RM3.2 billion, compared to RM4.3 billion in 4Q2017. (more…)
